The Basic Rider Course (BRC) is a 20 hour class that begins Friday evening at 6 pm and lasts until about 10 pm. We resume Saturday and Sunday from 7 or 8 am until 5 to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. This course is for those who have never ridden a bike, to folks who have been riding for 30 or more years. We provide the motorcycle and a safe environment in which to ride. You will need: a DOT approved helmet; eye protection; full finger gloves; over-the-ankle footwear; long sleeve shirt or jacket; full length pants. Successful completion of this class will enable the student to obtain a motorcycle endorsement with no further testing and in some cases receive rebates and/or discounts from motorcycle manufacturers and insurance companies. You must attend all portions of the class to pass this course. Cost is $185 ($260 if you do not hold a valid Nebraska Drivers License, Learners Permit, or School Permit).

The first exercise is a skill evaluation that will determine if you have the experience and skills to safely continue the class. If you are in doubt as to your abilities on your own bike we suggest that you take the BRC first. If you do not hold a Nebraska Motorcycle Endorsement you may arrange to be tested at the end of the class. Cost $260. Cost with a valid Nebraska Motorcycle Endorsement is $85.
